With a recommendation from their health insurance broker, PMI entrusted TotalRewards Software, Inc. (TRS) to develop a personalized, web based total compensation or total rewards portal. Employees log in to access their personalized summary of total compensation. It begins with a welcome message from the company's Senior VP of Human Resources. In subsequent pages, the portal details how the value of PMI's benefits and investment programs impact their employees' total compensation. Highly relevant and personalized detail pages communicate employees' enrollment choices, insurance coverage levels, financial account values and time off compensation values. These pages are organized as Total Compensation Summary, Health, Income Protection, Financial and Work/Life pages.

Results
In the past, PMI had provided their employees with paper based total compensation statements. Using the Internet to facilitate this communication seemed very challenging.
