Our Story

Break From Tradition...
However back in 2003, we realized that as information systems became more user friendly and clients were relying, leveraging and mastering everyday productivity tools, it became clear that the "high-priced" consultant's role in the production of total compensation statements was going to diminish substantially. So we decided to break from tradition and develop web-based software tools that would empower employers to easily create their own total compensation statements online and in print.
As part of a niche industry that had been singing the same song for years, we could no longer go along with the illusion that we were a "requirement" for project success and because of that, could charge clients 10s of thousands of dollars for that knowledge. To say the least, this break did not please our industry colleagues.
After two years of development beginning in 2004, TotalCompBuilder.com was born to critical client acclaim and released to the general public in early 2007. Fast forward to the present... we now have over 500 companies using our software representing over 400,000 employees. With its various editions, our software is ideally suited to the smallest employer with little or no budget and can scale to companies with over 30,000 employees.
